- Lower usage and wear on your current heating & cooling equipment
- Reject between 50% to 79% of heat coming through glass from sunlight

- Energy deductions
- Reduce glare and increase privacy
- Helps keep glass together in case of a break
How Window Tint Works
Window tint is a thin sheet of polyester film with an adhesive on one side that is installed to the interior of glass. There are three types of light that come from the sun. Visible, infrared, and ultraviolet. Window tint has high quality metals, ceramics, and other materials in the films construction that act as a sunscreen to reduce these levels from passing through. The rejection of these harmful rays depends on the type and specifications of the film you install
Choosing The Right Film
Choosing the right film requires a bit of knowledge on the types of window tint and what amount of light and heat they are able to block. Glass is designed to separate us from the outside elements and give us a view of the world outside. Almost 90% of solar energy is able to pass through untreated glass. When you install window film, its properties constructed of dyes/metals/ceramics/carbons act as a solar energy barrier by reflecting and absorbing the solar energy. The amount of energy blocked depends on the type of film you choose.
There are 3 main types of window film
Dyed – No reflective properties/only absorbs heat and blocks out light (low benefit)
Metal – High reflective properties/reflects and absorbs heat and blocks out light (good benefit)
Ceramic – Extremely high reflective and absorption properties and blocks out light (great benefit)
